City Heights Farmers Market
Western Growers Foundation is proud to be involved in the City Heights Farmers Market project. City Hieghts is a neighborhood in san diego that is home to 20 languages and a population that is 80% elibigble for EBT, WIC and Seniors Farmers Market Vouchers.
This neighborhood is now home to a Farmers Market that accepts all three of these forms of payment. This successful market was the first in SD to accept EBT and provid3es the neighborhood with fresh and healthy fruits vegetables and nuts. WGF provided funding for the printing of tokens so that the market could accept EBT WIC and SFMV, as well as advertise their acceptance to the neighborhood.
